the final few licensed song segments were pretty good, at least.

the licensed music is a lot less prominent than i assumed it was going to be, and the original music that plays for most of the game is alright but (with an exception or two) kind of forgettable just by virtue of needing to be playing all the time without getting annoying. Rebel against an evil tech megacorp with rhythm-amplified combat in HI-FI RUSH, an all-new action game from Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within, Ghostwire Tokyo) where the characters, world and combat sync to the music. The driver of the second car, critically injured in the crash, was given a Drunkometer test but no. I think the rhythm-based components of the game are kinda mid, but they never felt actively bad to me, even playing on hard, so that's something. i was rather fond of the party by the end of it, and the main guy isn't all that bad, even if he is a bit of a Season One Sokka at times.

Chai and 808 dont seem phased about it at first, until the lasers sextuple in quantity, leaving the tower absolutely bristling with them. When Chai makes it to a second tower to climb, an infuriated Korsica interrupts by activating the security lasers. from the trailer and the very early game, it was very easy to assume it was going to be grating, but once it starts introducing your ally characters, they start carrying more of the narrative and i thought the character-driven story they end up telling was pretty fun. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play Hi-Fi Rush on the Switch as it’s currently only available on Xbox and PC systems. Microsoft’s Xbox client on Windows is still a joke.
Luckily I had an ITX build separate from my main one where the game ran fine without issues (outside of UwpHook not working for non-Xbox controllers). So i finished Hi-Fi Rush earlier and it was way better than i was expecting it to be. I noticed that on PC game pass, uninstalled the game and tried verifying files, and it was crashing at the title screen.
